Ohh Christmas Tree!

With the day off for Dr. Jones we decided that the last day of November would be a perfect time to get a tree. I would like to say that we went to a Christmas tree farm , Addison choose the most perfect tree, Kevin cut it down all by himself, and we all sipped hot cocoa and sat by a fire afterwards... but I would be lying! Instead Addison and her Daddy headed to what better place to buy a tree... Home Depot! What's even better is that we started a tradition last year that we go on faith and buy one that is already wrapped up! So $39.00 later this is what we got! Not bad :)

Its so fun to have a little toddler running around, she really makes everything more fun. Putting the lights on the tree, the star, and of course the ornaments. She catches on quickly and is a great helper! I will put in a good word to Santa for her.

Just thought I would throw this one in here too. This is Addie last year at this time!
She was 9 months old last December!
I do need to point out this hair of Addie's. We have waited a long long time for it to grow! When Mommy is in charge in the morning she brushes it and makes sure it has some style with a nice part (no clips yet but we are working on it). Now Daddy on the other hand lets it run free and attempts to do a comb over. You many not be able to see it in this picture....
or this picture is a little to far away...
But here!!! It looks like a deflated mohawk!! Maybe in some future post I will see what it looks like standing up, that could be very interesting :)
Its fun to see Addison growing up so big! Reese on the other hand is a little to young to help so she hung out on the couch and watched all the madness with her Jolly smile!

I wanted to show that I too helped!

Sometimes Reese can look so happy and other times she can look so serious!! (totally a Kevin picture)

When all was said and done we had a beautiful live tree with lights and ornaments galore! Ohh Christmas tree - thanks for shining bright, withstanding the hits of a toddler, showcasing our past memories, and for helping create new ones!

  1. Such a cute post. Made me smile. Kevin has awesome hair styling tips. Don't be too critical my BBF, you and I only spiced up our dos by parting our hair on the opposite sides or cutting our own bangs!! Kevin's comb over isn't so bad! Poor Reese and Kayden are so going to fall for Addie's tricks growing up!
