Welcome Back Ah!

Their Back!!! After a quick trip to Canada for my cousin's wedding my Mom and Dad made it back safely to the states! They had a great time with the Omer side of the family and thankfully while they were away no baby was born!
Of course someone had to look after their little monster (a.k.a. Pica) so we brought her over to our house for the weekend. Don't tell my Dad but she spent a lot of time outside! Addison loved having a doggie at the house! She even started copying what it did!
I think Addison was enjoying herself a little more than Pica!
Welcome Back Mom and Dad glad you are home safely!

Friday Fun!

We were super excited because Uncle Billy and Auntie Magee came to visit yesterday! Addison enjoyed playing with Magee for many hours! They had this little routine and each time it would end with a hug! Magee is so good with her and is going to make such an amazing mom someday! Not to mention she is one organized bride and has already done so much for their August wedding!

After a long work week Uncle Billy made his way after many hours of teaching to meet us for dinner. I think after dealing with High School students all day playing with Addison was a good stress reliever. I don't know which one is more silly!

]Hopefully Addison doesn't get used to playing during dinner time!
Thanks Billy and Magee for making the trip up here. It was so great to see you both and hang out. We will come your way next time and can't wait to see your new place soon! xoxoxo

Brownie Madness!

Addison is a great helper, especially when it comes to taste testing! Dr. Jones has been working back-to- back shifts the last couple of days so we surprised him with some yummy brownies. She starts out eating like a lady but...
Then it becomes a little more messy! Who could blame her?!?

She looks so proud of herself and so happy! I could cook with this helper any day :)

Meeting the Newest Jones! So close....

Yesterday was a special day because we got to see Baby Jones #2 at our 37 week ultrasound! Two important words come to mind: Full-Term! It's hard to believe it but we are finally here. All body parts are accounted for, the baby is a healthy estimated 6.8 pounds, and his or her head is down. The ultrasound is so amazing and Addison was ohhing and awhhing the entire time, we all got a big kick out of it. My favorite part of the ultrasound were the facial pictures. This little one for sure has the chubbiest cheeks I have ever seen. We can't wait to meet you little Jones!

Big Sis!

Look who I caught checking out all the "new" baby stuff?
She got a big kick out of sitting in the bouncy and couldn't help but look in the mirror and smile!
When I told her it was for the baby she hurried and went and found her baby! So cute !!
Then baby was kicked to the ground! It's ok we still have time to work on this :) Right?!?

Just the 3 of Us!

Kevin and I were super excited to have a date night with our little Addison, just the 3 of us! We headed to Downtown Disney for shopping, food, and lots of fun !!
Although it was SUPER hot we managed to make it to a bunch of stores. The highlight of course was Build a Bear and the water fountain! We didn't buy a bear but I see one in her near future.. and Addison probably would have jumped into the water if we were not there!

For dinner we thought what better place to take our animal loving 17 month old than The Rainforest Cafe!
The night started out great! There is a huge aquairum in the entry way and Addison was a big fan!
When we were going to our seats we should have known what was to come! For those of you who have never been to the Rainforest Cafe they have "thunderstorms" every half hour. This is cool if your older than five and like loud sounds, lightening, huge roaring elephants, and moving gorillas! Look at this poor face! Do you think she enjoyed it?
Luckily Daddy's hugs consoled her! That worked for a while but then she saw the very scarey....
FROG! This was right above our heads :(
Who knew there were so many animals hiding in the "forest"! We tried to end the night on a high note and have some ice cream! That was a great treat for all of us because it was a stressful dinner for all involved! But we learned a valuable lesson and warn all the parents out there to to wait a couple of years to take your little one to the Rainforest! We will visit again but just not soon!

The General is Back!

After logging in over 85 hours last week for work, what does any good Dr. do on his day off? Play Halo of course! Here is the General in action. I am so proud :)
So happy to have you at home Kev!

Watermelon Wednesday!

Braving the heat Colleen and I ventured out with the kids for a watermelon tour at the Tanaka Farm in Irvine. In the Spring we did the Strawberry tour and that was a big hit! (only hitch then was Addison got a minor rash from eating about 2 dozen strawberries) Mommy didn't know that babies don't eat strawberries until about 1 years old! But this time it was all about the watermelons ! Little did they know but I brought my own :)
From the moment we left our house Addison babbled in the back seat the whole ride over! It was like she knew who we were going to see and what were going to do. She even wore her favorite watermelon outfit for our outing! I love that in this picture she wasn't afraid to get a little dirty! Auntie Elisa would be so proud :)
Here are the kids getting ready for the wagon ride ! What a bunch of characters we have here! They are definitely communicating in their own little way! Dylann is even in on it :)

The wagon ride is around the 30 acre farm and along the way you stop and taste delicious fruits and vegetables! Here is Addison taking in the beauty of the farm! I think she is thinking of Uncle Chris and wishing he were here!

Sometimes it is pulling teeth to get these toddlers to eat vegetables but not today! They were all in !

At the end of the tour we got out of the wagon to cut up some farm fresh melon and watermelons! Messy little Addison and Davis loved their summer treat!

Threw it all Colleen was quite the trooper holding Dylann and chasing after Davis! It was hot, a little rainy, but definitely a ton of fun!
At the end of the tour we got to pick and take a watermelon home! Davis was quite the gentleman when it came to helping Addison. He held her hand and showed her where to go! Pointing out all the delicious watermelon! So cute :)

Here is the one Addison chose! Perfect size for her to carry and for Mommy to eat in one sitting! Just kidding we will definitely be eating this one as a family!
We finished the morning with giggles and kisses by the watermelon sign! We can't get enough of these two together!

Thank you Colleen, Davis, and Dylann for making today so much fun! I love watching you Colleen with the kids and it was great to catch up and to get tips for having two little ones! I love your advice and appreciate your honesty :) Can't wait until our next outing!

Pretend City!

Today Addison and I ventured out to Pretend City in Irvine for some Mommy and Daughter time! Its a place where kids run around free to explore all that a city has to offer. There is a grocery store, post office, fire station, park, beach, and cafe to name a few of the attractions!

Addison was a little overwhelmed at first with all the kids (it was packed) but immediately felt at home when she saw all the play cars! I think she might have tried out every single one in the place! At times she looks so serious - always checking out what others are doing!

This is one of my favorites! My blonde hair blue eyed Californian Girl driving with the beach in the backround! So Fun :)

Another highlight was the music and stage! I am going to need to get this girl into dancing and music class soon. She can be quite the ham! She has now mastered the side step tap and isn't afraid to show it!

She also enjoyed playing in the sand!

Had her hand in the water!

And tried out being a construction worker, an artist and a fireman!

The only thing missing today was Daddy! When Addison found a phone in the play house she started yelling for Dad! It was really cute and made all the people around us smile :)

We finished the day by climbing out windows, listening to a story, and watching the baby chicks play!

All and all we had a wonderful morning together followed by a great lunch and even better nap! What a terrific Tuesday!
