Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving.
We are very thankful this year for our little family of four. We had a wonderful holiday break full of amazing food, beautiful weather, silly kids, and lots of family time. This is as close as we got to a "normal" family picture - I will take it!
We spent four days at Pismo Beach with the Jones side of the family. A few of the highlights was time spent on the beach.
swinging by the ocean, doesn't get any better than this!
We found a special street
built a awesome Sandcastle (actually we found that but Addie pretended she did it)

ran away from Mommy

and played in the sand
We spent time with family

love little Lila Bean
and of course time spent with technology
and time on Uncle Jim and Auntie Michelle's beautiful ranch
this is the amazing view from their home
the Dalesandro's
and my two little turkeys!

A special thank you to Grandma Muriel and Grandpa Marty who went over and beyond to make us feel welcomed in their home. Grandma cooked dinner each night and each morning we woke up to a yummy breakfast. She is a hostess with the mostess!! I am nervous for the day when I have to follow in her footsteps and host the entire family! Thank you Grandma for including me in on special family Armenian dishes and for teaching me the ropes! Can you tell which one isn't Armenian?
Happy Thanksgiving! If you are reading this we are very thankful for you and your love and friendship. Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and for being important people in our lives. xoxoxo

30!

Goodbye 20's and hello to the big 3-0!!
My birthday was very special and I have Kevin to thank. He planned a sweet getaway to Laguna Beach and then a family dinner the following day. Flowers, a new phone, and did I mention a night out with no kids! Lots of friends prepared me and said that 30 was an emotional birthday for them, but for me I was all smiles and so excited to enter this new decade. The relaxing massage, haircut, fancy dinner, and time with my husband did help too!  Capri Laguna was a perfect hotel that was close to downtown, right on the beach, and most importantly you could hear the waves from our balcony. It was quiet and peaceful and although it was only 30 minutes from our house we felt like we were on vacation in some faraway place!
This was the first time we have left both Reese and Addison for the night. I am happy to report that they did great with Omie and GranDad, so great that my parents encouraged us to do this more often! They said they had a great time too and were very busy with the girls! Sign me up - thank you Kevin for a warm welcome to the 30 club.
Speaking of warm welcomes.. this is what we came home too! The streamers gave it away, I knew it had to be Billy and Magee. The funny part was that we nearly caught them because they weren't expecting us so soon. This was definitely a fun surprise - thank you again Mr. & Mrs. Omer!
Kevin took care of dinner and made my childhood favorite - tortellini! Growing up we always got to choose our birthday meal and I always had this. We had a great family meal and it was fantastic to see the girls - we really did miss them a ton! In addition to all the "30" birthday decorations Billy and Magee also picked up a few "princess" items. The moment Addison saw them she just had to change her clothes to this...
and then again to her favorite...
Here are some more fun pictures. Addie beat me to my cupcake  and despite the picture looking like her hand is on fire she did not burn herself!

Thank you for a wonderful birthday.. I look forward to many more memories and adventures in my 30's!!xoxoxo

Welcome Baby Liam!

G and Lisa welcomed to their family Liam George Hillis on October 18th! Liam was nearly two weeks late from his original due date but was a very healthy 9 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. He is a cute and cuddly little man with lots of hair!
Kevin and I were so excited to meet him at the hospital and could not be happier for this family of three. Holding a newborn is so special and it reminded me of the days when our little ones were that young - seems like forever ago! This definitely made for some interesting conversation at dinner and on the way home for Kevin. That poor guy and my constant baby bug fever!! hahahha....
Congratulations Hillis Family! xoxox
* and no I didn't get a picture of Liam's Mom or Dad with him because we were to busy holding and loving him!

Happy November!

This was my smiley sweet Pea at 5 months old!!
She was a strong and toothless scooting machine. Full of giggles and loved to turn over and over. She was then eating some veggies and I was still waking up at 3 a.m to feed this hungry kid! Seems like forever ago!
Now I look at her and think, "When did my baby turn into this little girl?!?!"

She is still a cuddlier, loves to talk, follows her sister everywhere, and smiles and giggles throughout the day. She can be a little fiesty in "sharing"toys and is crazy independent in climbing up anything! She is fast and tiny and sweet and so lovable! We are very thankful for this little blessing!

Happy Halloween!

From Minnie Mouse and Princess Reese!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday! Ours was filled with lots of candy, family time, laughter, and fun. In Eastlake Village where my parents live they have a "Spookfest" the day before Halloween with a petting zoo, games, a bounce house, food, and a very special Princess carriage. Last year Kevin had to work but luckily he was off this year and got to experience the fun. Also with us was GranDad, Uncle Billy, and Auntie Magee! Here are just a few pictures of the night. Minnie was a little hesitant with the overly aggressive goats!
But loved the idea of getting candy from strangers! She learned to say "trick or treat" pretty fast!

Princess enjoying a ride by her Uncle!
Kevin with the girls in his first carriage ride with a Real Princess!

and Reese taking a little break from running away from us!
There is that tongue again!
Happy Halloween!
* Sorry about the glare in some pictures - we had a dirty spot on the camera*
And for the actual Holiday Addison choose to wear costume #2 for trick-or-treating: A princess just like her Sister! We hope you had a wonderful night xoxoxo
