BOY OH BOY!

We are Expecting a.......
We couldn't be more excited to welcome a Baby Boy to our family in the beginning of December! Although we waited with the girls to find out we both were super anxious this go around! It was very exciting and we still can't believe they said "boy"!  Reese is still a little young to understand but Addison was excited about the news and goes around telling everyone she will have a baby brother! Now if I can just get her not to ask other people if they have a baby in their tummy that would be great! xoxoxooxox

Growing Up!

Not sure if I am ok with how old she looks in this, but she insist on wearing her "boobie bathing suit!" I think her next bikini will be purchased when she is 16 or even older!

Weekend Fun

On Friday morning we visited our local zoo for a quick trip before the day heated up! The Santa Ana Zoo isn't fancy but for these two little munchkins any animals will do!
It didn't hurt that there was a train and a carousel ride

Reese is an old pro on these and wants to do it all by her self. Miss Independent strikes again!
I think our next zoo will be L.A. where we will see more exciting animals besides monkeys and birds! Ohh and this big old Camel!
Next we celebrated our sweet friends two year old little girl, Avery! It was a wet and wild type of party and we all had a great time! Addison has told me each day after that we should get a water slide for our backyard like Avery! I second that - it was a blast!

Two slides were twice the fun!
and the cupcakes were super cute and yummy that went along with the Minnie Mouse theme!
Next celebration was on Sunday and that was our 6 year wedding anniversary. We went to church as a family and then headed to the Irvine Spectrum for lunch. Dining out with these two isn't always "fun" but they did great! It didn't hurt that they spotted rides and could be bribed a bit if they behaved!
You can barely see Kevin but he is waving from the third cage
from the top. Along with his super brave oldest daughter!
Reese and I preferred our feet on the ground and waved as they went by!
I have been really blessed with such an amazing husband and father to my kids. We have so much to be thankful for and look forward to the many many years ahead!
Dinner just the two us is a perfect way to end this fabulous weekend!

First Day of Camp

This year I signed Addison up for a three week summer camp at our local nature center. It is within walking distance to our house and some neighbor friends are also in it. Addison is learning all about animals, signing songs, and lots of crafting! She loves it and she loves her new big girl Dora backpack.
Addison is now 40 months old, almost three and a half. She is a firecracker, always talking, always loud, and always on the Go!! She decided that she is a big girl and therefore needs a big girl bed. She has been begging us to sleep downstairs but we aren't comfortable with that so we took the bottom of the trundle bed downstairs and put it on the floor in her room. Reese is still in the crib but climbed out of it yesterday so we think its time she goes to the toddler bed!
Addison loves Dora, loves reading, and loves anything her sister has! Does anyone else relate, lately I have been feeling more like a referee then a mommy. But oh well, its only a phase, right?!!?
Addison is very sweet, she is curious, and will give her opinion and anything and everything.
She loves to pick out her own clothes and still prefers to wear her Minnie Mouse dress or dance outfits over "normal" clothes. Addison likes order and knows where things should go and gets frustrated if they are out of place. Her imagination is huge and she comes up with detailed stories that she will tell, and most the time she convinces the person listening that its true.
Addie has a fantastic memory and will bring up things that happened days or even months ago. I love talking to her because she has a great sense of humor and loves to cuddle. I miss her when she goes to camp and its only a couple of hours, makes me nervous for Kindergarden!
She is a bed jumping, hair combing, and fun loving girl.
Love you Addie Bear!

First Dance Class & Rapunzel Camp!

Reese had her first day of Dance Class and boy was she ready!
Big Sis was also happy to share in the spotlight!
This was a preview class to see if she was ready. She is just a couple months short of 2 and I wasn't sure if she would follow directions and listen. By the looks of things she fit in perfectly! Great Job Reese!
Addison also got her dance on this week at Rapunzel Camp in Huntington Beach. Two of my closest friends from work have daughters Addie's age and they all did the camp together. For the first hour they   do ballet and the second hour are arts and crafts. Everything is based on the movie Tangled so it was overload on everything Princess for two hours each day!
The last day they performed a recital for all the parents. Such a cute camp and definitely something we will do again in the future!
Addison and Laney! (Addison was for sure the youngest in the class, I may have had to fib a bit that she was 4)
All the girls!
Here is a little video of the finale!
We are very proud of our dancing ballerinas!

Summer Nights

The past two nights we have really enjoyed being outside. First at the beach and then at a concert in the Park. We love the summer and love this fantastic weather!
Here we are acting like tourists and taking a bike ride on the beach path. This was our old home and it feels like ages ago that we would run and walk this same route almost every day.

Dancing on the grass
and of course shopping at HSS - Big fan of her hat!
Next up was a local concert in the park. Unfortunately Kevin had to work but I ventured off with the girls and we met our neighbors there for music, sand, and dancing fun.

Love Summer Nights and most of all spending time with my family!

RockStar!

It's that time of the year again! This is Addison's 4th little recital and we couldn't have been more proud of her! She is such a performer and she loves the stage! I mean she LOVES the stage. We did a little photo-shoot before in her super pink and frilly costume!
What a ham! Shocking but my Dad said that I was the same way as a kid!
(and of course I had to take Reese's picture too, this is her go to pose)
As a little surprise, Kevin brought home roses for Addison, her friends, and the teacher. So sweet and so thoughtful. She was over the moon with Daddy's surprise and reminded for a week that the flowers on the table were hers!
The recital was at a local theatre and if you have seen the show Dance Moms you know exactly how these things go. No joke! Because it is a company it is taken very seriously but even though the older girls are super talented it is usually the little ones that take away the show!
If you click on the pictures you can see her facial expressions and just how happy she is. I wanted to share one request of Addisons that I thought was funny. At home we "introduce" her from the other room and she comes running in with her sister to perform some type of song or dance. She asked on the way to the recital if they will introduce her. I told her they would and she was even more excited. After the show she told me they didn't introduce her the right way. She said she wanted them to say, "introducing Addison and her Friends!" Instead they said the teachers name and how old the kids were, the nerve :)
Post Recital Pictures - we were all so happy for her!

What a big girl she is turning into...

Addison you are a tapping machine and rocked the stage with your bright blonde hair and cute dance moves. It is exciting to see you do things independently and how much you have grown through the years. Your smile and personality is sure to keep you on stage for years to come. You are a Star! xoxoxoxo

Pretty in Blue!

Our girls took pictures back in May with a friend of a friend who is a photographer in Carlsbad. We couldn't be more in love with them! We think they turned out great and truly feel that they caught each of the girls playful, silly, loving, and curious personalities. Thank you Colleen for the wonderful referral and to Stephanie for the awesome pictures! We have a ton to choose from but here are some of our favorites! There was lots of bubbles, lot of bribing, and lots of smiles

Love these two little girls and the smiles they bring to their Dad and I. Life is changing a lot these days and in the midst of it we are blessed to have snapshots that remind us how lucky we truly are.
