Addison Marie

My Baby!
IS 3 !!!!
I love her. I think she is adorable, funny, cute, smart, and a total ham. I am having a hard time with the idea that my oldest is 3! That seems so old to me. In my mind I think about in just a short while she will be in Kindergarten. Yikes! But for now I will enjoy my days with this little free spirit.
Here are 10 things that I want to remember about this amazing age
  1. She is always up for anything and is totally fearless - jump off the ledge of a planter (sure), ride a pony (ok) jump from the deep end (Yes please!)
  2.  When anyone leaves the house she will call out alligator-crocadile! It is her version of See you Later Alligator - Not for a while crocodile.
  3. She insists on going to the bathroom by herself and if you try to come in she will say, "I need my privacy."
  4. Her favorite song is "Mighty to Save" from the Veggie Tales CD and she will ask for each and every time you get in the car. Although she is a huge Tangled fan and loves to dance to those songs when she gets out of the bath with her sister - in the buff of course!
  5. Each night she climbs into bed with Mommy and Daddy. I know I know this is not ideal but for now when she asks to cuddle in the middle of the night this Mommy would rather sleep then drag her sobbing into her room. I plan to nip this in the bud at some point but not right now. She is definitely a cuddle bug.
  6. She randomly tells me that she is proud of me and loves me. It makes my heart smile when she is so sweet. I just love when she tells Kevin and I that she loves us.
  7. She has never walked past a stage or place to perform without jumping on it and dancing. In the house she will have us "introduce" her and Reese from another room. They come running in and sing with their teddy.
  8. She insists are getting her back rubbed by one of us every night. She will not go to bed without it and without her 5 most favorite barbies!
  9. Her prayer is different every night and when asked who she wants to pray for she will list everyone she knows.
  10. She giggles, screams, and laughs most of the time. She is carefree but can be cautious at times. Her curly hair and its color is loved by all. She makes jokes and when I make a mistake she says "Silly Mommy" On the eve of her birthday she told me not to cry and that she was a big girl! Wow - 3 years of loving this girl seems to have gone by in a flash. I am so thankful for every single day that I get to spend with her. Happy Birthday Addison!  So many more fun birthday festivities to come - stay tuned!

Family Day!

Where is the Beach? ahh over there!!
Yep! It.is.Beautiful.Outside and we are ready for some fun in the sun!
Family Days are the best. I love days were we don't really have an agenda and just go where we want. We loved living in HB and any chance we now get to go there and visit we take it! The days of walking to the beach from our house are over but with just a short drive and little walk we were there in a jiffy! These two girls are definitely lovers of the beach and its great. First thing Addison insists on doing each time we hit the sand is to take off her shoes. It doesn't matter if its the morning or night she will want those little toes in the sand.
I am in love with that beachy casual hair of hers!
Reese was loving the water and explored a little bit with Daddy.
But she just had to make sure - the water wasn't sneaking up on her to quickly!
I think the beach is a perfect place to re-energize
and just forget about all the hard stuff!
I really needed this time with these three people and I feel so blessed to have had it.
In fact - I have already put in a request for a repeat day this coming weekend!

Patient - Doctor Relationship

I am going to share that being a Doctors wife Does have its perks. 90% of the time I hate his resident schedule, hate all the commitments he has, and think that he studies Way to Much! However, I am still fully supportive of his time in residency, still counting away the days he is done, but trying to be a good teammate along the way! With that said a total blessing is that when you have an earache and your husband has the tools to fix it, and does, without leaving your bedroom -that is awesome. I had been complaining for a couple of days about pain in my ears and one look at them Kevin said they needed to be drained immediately.  I won't bore you with the details or gross you out with what came out of them (and yes I did take pictures and sent it to a few friends - so gross I am sorry about that)
But I am 100% better and didn't have to go to Urgent Care.
Thank you Dr. Jones I love you for taking such good care of me!

Welcome Back-from the Outback!

He's Back!
My brother Chris had been out of the country for the past 6 weeks. It was so nice to visit with him and hear all about his trip in Australia visiting Anja's family and exploring Sydney and the coast. In good ol' Chris fashion he made a slide show to highlight all the amazing things he did. I love hearing his stories and they really did take the most beautiful pictures. Not to mention he brought back some awesome gifts that we have all been sporting!! Hopefully one day the Jones family will get to go out there and see first hand Australia! But in the mean time we will enjoy our little local zoo and some family time! This is a picture of all the crew cruising around the Orange County Zoo. (I know we have been there like 3 times this month, but it really is close and perfect for kids)
Addison next to her favorite bunnies!
and Uncle Billy next to his best friend
Addison has taken a liking to brushing hair, I thought it only included barbie and humans. But she was all about this little Goat!
Had to take a picture of this California King Snake - this little guy is the same snake that I found in our garage about 5 months ago. I still think of "Sneaky Sam the Silly Snake" and pray to God and cross my fingers that he is long gone and back in the wild!
*Dont worry they are not venomous and won't bite. AND If you were to call Animal Control and ask them to come out and catch it  - they will laugh at you.*
Reese enjoying her Minnie Mouse Backpack! She is getting so Big :)
and giggling with Uncle Billy

This picture below reminds me of Chris. Whenever we let Reese roam on a hike, in the park, or at the beach she tends to do her own thing. She will go at her own pace, take notice of the littlest things, and looks sincerely so Happy! Her carefreeness, sly smile, and love for nature definitely reminds us of Uncle Chris!
Ohh my... these girls are Soooo Big!

The look on Addison's and Reese's face in the picture below pretty much sums up their day . They loved all the attention from everyone, the freedom to run around, the train ride, picnic lunch, and of course al the animals!
Thanks Omer Clan for making an ordinary Monday be so Special!
