Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Here is my little ladybug Reese and tricky bee Addison getting excited for the nights festivities! Just look at those bumble bee eyes - she is all beeziness!
With Kevin working we decided to head over to my parents house for some yummy dinner and to pass out candy to all the neighborhood kids. We also hadn't carved our pumpkin so we brought that too! Luckily GranDad was there to help Addison make her first pumpkin face. Surprisingly she didn't want anything to do with the seeds or mess inside the pumpkin. But she watched her GranDad eagerly and liked the end result!
Great job Dad the face is perfect!
love this picture - it seems like just yesterday she was sitting on these steps as Tinkerbell!
People say that your kids grow up fast...But really they do! Their hair may not grow fast but everything else sure does :)
Here GranDad and Addie are waiting for all the tricker-treaters!
Where are you??? Please come I will give you candy...
In the meantime Reese was hanging out with me inside and even gave her first wave! Go Reese!

We hope you had a great Halloween! Although there were some tears here and there and a few screams...
all in all we had a wonderful day! xoxoxo Hope you did too!!
Had to add...
Just one more from last year! What a boo-utiful pic :)

Crabby Cakes!

I woke up to this face...
and this attitude!!!
I have no idea where she learned to cross her hands like that and pout !! What a stinker :) Is it me or does this face look exactly like her fathers! And to tell you the truth they are both not morning people - Kevin would be the 1st to admit that!
This face screams to me "Mom we need to do something fun today!" So we packed up early in the morning and headed to the beach. On the way I thought it would be fun to stop at Centennial Farm in Costa Mesa for Addison to play and explore with the animals. When we got there its quite the production to get the girls in the double stroller - Making sure everyone is dry, fed, has toys, a snack, and is happy takes some time. I am getting faster but it can get a little chaotic. So when I finished and we walked to the entrance I was so sad to see that it was closed because of a field trip!!!! Luckily not to far away was a Farmer's Market. We turned around and headed to check it out.
We ended up buying a little snack and some yummy fresh German bread rolls to have with dinner. Addison was my little helper and carried all our goods!
Then we headed to 17th street in Huntington Beach. This is our old stomping ground. It was a beautiful clear day and it felt great to get out there and run with the girls!
At 80 degrees it certainly didn't feel like October! Kevin and I often talk about moving back to the beach. Who wouldn't want to, look at this view!
This was officially Reese's first time at the beach!
Addison enjoyed playing in the sand and watching the waves. The people around us were laughing because she was saying over and over again "Wow Mommy, Wow!
All in all we had a wonderful day. I am learning so many new things as now a mother of two. The importance of patience in getting around and out of the house, flexibility in napping and feeding times, my new found love for drive thru coffee places, and the need to always always have extra clothes and diapers in the car! Also creating some time for myself can be a little tricky especially with Kevin's schedule but running has really helped me recharge and regroup through the day. Its funny because once I was a runner that never stopped for anything during my runs & I was all about time and how far! Now I feel like I am more relaxed and have little expectations, I am enjoying my time running more and more and it helps me recharge and regroup! Maybe there will be a race in the future but for now I will just enjoy the process of getting back into it.
Although we started the day a little crabby Addison was all smiles as we played and enjoyed the sand and water. We missed Kevin on our adventure to HB but we are looking forward to his day off when we head to Redondo Beach as a family to visit my brother and Magee's new place. Happy Friday everyone!

Beezzzy Week!

Hi Everyone! This week has gone by very fast - just when I am about to blog something comes up - a diaper to change, a child to feed, laundry to finish, dinner to cook, and yadda yadda yadda! Usually I blog at nighttime but Kevin has been working different hours 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. so when he comes home I just want to catch up with him and relax. Also I spent this week catching up on scrapbooking. I love to do this and needed to finish Addison's activities from the summer and start Reese's. Here is a sneek peak of some of the pages I have been working on.
Last weekend was Ghoulyfest - an event down at Eastlake Village for kids! There are a ton of kid friendly activities, a wagon ride, petting zoo, and live music! With my two little bugs in hand and with the help of GranDad and Grandma Omer we kicked off our Halloween one week early!
Here is a picture of my beee-utiful little bug being very beezzzy!
Check out that hat and those shoes!
ohh this hat makes me laugh!
Here she is with GranDad - she is fixed on the petting zoo and focused to get in there.
Once in there she was a little overwhelmed there were lots of kids and lots of animals but
GranDad was there for the rescue and to help feed the goats and bunnies...
It wasn't until she was out of the zoo that she really enjoyed the animals.

I love this pictures of Grandma and Addie!
Last but not least we went on a wagon ride and a special Cinderella carriage. It was a lot of fun! Addison was so excited about the horses and even got to meet a Princess!

This Ghoulyfest was a lot of fun, we missed Kevin but he had to work! We will be dressing up again this weekend so this was a little preview of whats to come. I will get some good pictures of Reese too, she was there but snug in my carrier sleeping :)

Daddy Duty!

On Kevin's day off I headed out for a couple of minutes to print pictures and go to the food store. This was the first time I left both girls with their Dad (who.. yes just got a new hair do)! I was happy to return home to 2 happy non-screaming girls! This was also a big day because Reese got her first bottle!
Of course Big Sis wanted to get in on the action! Surprisingly she was very gentle and patient, Kevin showed her what to do....

and she was very excited to help!
Because Addison wanted to feed Reese all by herself we had to create a distraction... This is where her baby came in and it was Addie's turn to play mommy and daddy.

After Addison went down for her nap, Kevin told me I could take a break while he watched Reese. This is Kevin watching Reese....
Boy I thought this looked familiar.. here is Kev watching Addison! hahahah.....
Thank you Kev for being on Daddy Duty and giving me a little break. You are a great Dad and hubby!

What to do on a Rainy day?

Greetings from cloudy, cold, and rainy Anaheim Hills! The girls and I have been cooped up in the house for what seems like forever (just two days but still thats a long time in toddler time). With this gloomy weather and Addison just getting over a cold and Reese just being a month old it was time to get creative in the house! Here is what we have been up to! First, we baked some treats to send to Seattle for Uncle Chris! I couldn't have done it without my little helper!
All smiles in the kitchen!
Taste Tester! Addison approved...
The end result! Yummy cookies and a pumpkin decorated bread. Sprinkles were all done by Addison.
Next we have been doing a lot of reading. Here Addison is in her big girl bed (which she has not slept in quite yet) reading to her baby!
This is followed by some dress up! She really is Tutu Cute :)
This tutu is from her newborn photo session given to her by her Auntie Heather. She loves the wings and purse. This picture was taken yesterday and today she woke up and found the tutu, wings, and purse
in her closet and brought it to me. She hasn't taken it off all day!

What a silly face! Don't worry Addie the rain won't last all week!
We have also spent a lot of time in our pj's the last couple of days. Being inside in our comfortable clothes watching Barney, life couldn't get any better!
Here Reese is enjoying some zzzz's! Without Big Sis around to steal her binkie or poke at her.. she is one happy girl!
We also had some art time! Addison is a great artist thanks to Leonor, Bella, and Imelda. This was fun because while she was drawing on her high chair I started to scrapbook! I won't show my workspace because it is a mess!

All in all we have enjoyed our time in our house but we are ready for some fun in the sun!
