3 Day Weekend!

With summer break right around the corner this three day weekend was a teaser of what life will be like with my girls everyday and in just two weeks, what a Dream!!! Mmmm Miss Addison.... how should we kick of the weekend?!?
Climbing of course... at our favorite new park. We went to a a super fun birthday party at this park and we knew we had to return. With the doctor working and being super busy (and not wanting to lug around the camera) I haven't been taking many pictures of the girls these days especially with Reese being so active now, but here are a couple! Addison cracks me up because she is so independent and has No Fear on the playground! Absolutely, none!! She does really well and always finds a friend or two that keeps her busy. I love the way kids play and talk to anyone around their same height, boy or girl doesn't matter!
And Reese was a ball of energy venturing off her blanket, throwing off her hat, and making sure I was an arms length away or she would let me know (signal - scream/cry/whimper)
The next day the highlight was definitely a run at Yorba Regional in the morning followed by a Donut for Addie and a hot nice coffee for Mommy!!
Exactly how her father eats!
Then we had a visit from Omie and GranDad! We enjoyed playing with cars, sitting on rocks, and running back and forth between the houses! This was followed by a much needed popsicle break - Reese even joined in. I discovered mini pops and they are the best - little sugar and very mini!
This was just a snapshot of the weekend. We spent most the time relaxing just us girls, but did make it over to Y.L where we played with Uncle Billy, fed the ducks, and watched Mickey Mouse and Barney once or twice. We cooked, cleaned, read books, and scrapbooked a bit! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Watch out summer here we come!

Owesome Ostroms!

Great friends from college, Pete and Erica, were back in California and stopped by for a visit with their family! They have been in Florida for the past two years and we have missed them so much.
They have two adorable kids Julia and Anna and a little baby BOY on the way!! We are super excited to meet this little man that is due in July! But today it was all about the girls! It was so much fun to see the them play together. They definitely enjoyed each other and were very busy! One of the highlights for Addison was having company at her table! Dinner was lots of fun and Daddy's bbq was a huge hit!
Here is a quick picture that we snapped while they all giggled and smiled on the chair!

and lets not forgot the funny face picture!
Erica is one of those friends that knows it all! She is sweet, kind hearted, level headed and so calm and comforting. She gives the best advice and listens without any judgement to all my crazy stories and concerns about raising two daughters. Erica is sincere and loves on everyone in her life. I always feel so blessed and encouraged after spending time with her. Thank you Ostroms for a fantastic visit, we are so happy to have spent the evening with you! xoxoxo

Crawl Reese-ee crawl!!

This little ball of cuteness just turned 8 months old and is showing off her new skills! My favorite thing by far that she has mastered is sleeping threw the night! Phewww....but she is also eating meat, soup, and is trying out her new sippy cup!
She sat at 7 months and it is only fitting that on her 8 month birthday she is starting to crawl. For a couple weeks now she has been scooting front and backwards but now she is in full crawling mode. Most the time she will crawl a bit and then sit, then crawl and sit. This goes on until she remembers that she loves to be held!! The gate is up, Mommy and Daddy are excited, and Addison is pumped (well kind of until she goes after her toys). Now I feel like things are going to get interesting with these two and just in time for summer! Already Addison is her biggest fan as you will see in the video. For Easter Kevin got me a flip camera that I am obsessed with almost as much as my camera lens. More videos to come!

P.S. The only reason it is on Youtube is because I haven't quite figured out how to download the video directly to the blog without going through this site!

Days of Our Lives

It is No secret that I am a HUGE Days of Our Lives fan. For example: when it came to naming our babies the first thing I thought of was all the characters on the show (totally not kidding). But Kevin immediately caught on and quickly denied any request. Although now that they have introduced new characters maybe I will be able to swing him over to the idea for the next baby! Why he didn't like Marlana or Stefano for our little Jones I will never know :)
Days has been a part of my life (and my best friend Tiff's life) for more than 16 years. We have had some breaks, especially during college, but for the most part I would consider us loyal fans! So about 3 months ago I came across Alison Sweeney's blog. She is not only Sami Brady on Days of Our Lives, but she is also the host of The Biggest Loser. Her blog is so much fun to read. She is a mother of two and through her entertaining stories you can tell she is fun loving, creative minded, super funny, and hard working. Her blog is about real life as a Mom and things we can all relate to!
One of the goals for her blog is to connect with regular moms of all ages and walks of life...So each week she features a "Mom of the Week" and in that post she will ask random questions about parenting. Typically I just like to read the responses but last week I knew I had to participate. She wanted us her blogging friends, I mean followers, to share a funny story about potty training. I knew that the Fish-ee one that I shared on my blog a couple weeks ago made my family laugh, so I decided to post it! Well guess what - SHE LOVED IT.. I mean I can hardly contain myself knowing that she Read something I wrote AND .... drum roll please....... she choose me to be Mom of the Week on her website for this week!!!! I almost died with giddyness when I got the email.  I might have squealed a little bit with excitement and startled Reese and Addison! (TIFF can you believe this). The editor of her website also mentioned that they looked at my blog and wanted to pull some pictures off that too! Soooo now that I am practically famous :) I wanted to share with you my friend Ali's website. Click here hahahahhaha..... you may need to scroll down a bit for the post-  Enjoy! I know I will be checking this site about a 100 times a day for the next week! Let me know what you think... you can contact my agent/husband and I will get back to you.  Happy Monday, have a wonderful week everyone!  xooxoxoxo

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday to one Groovy Grandma!
Today is my Mom's actual birthday, but that didn't stop us last week in celebrating her with a
60's party with all her family, neighbors, and friends from work and church. The D.J played all the greatest hits, the food was super yummy, and all the decorations were perfect!
The party was tye -dye for!
It was extra special because my Aunt Jackie flew in from Canada for the party
and Chris and Anja came from Seattle (and Billy and Magee from Redondo of course)
Happy Birthday Mom! You are an amazing party planner, nurse, Omie, and friend. I love you and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays together. If you would like to see more pictures (many more pictures) from the party click here Click here  The day after the party was Mother's Day. It was special because Kevin's mom was in town and we got to spend this special day with her and Pop-Pop. Having everyone together was so much fun and made my job super easy with all the extra hands that helped with Addison and Reese.

My Dad hosted an amazing brunch for all 10 of us at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course. It was such a treat to eat delicious food, be waited on, and not have to clean up! I am still thinking about what I should have eaten at the buffet!! This was a very memorable weekend and Addison is still asking a week later where everyone went. "Anja go bye-bye, Chris go bye-bye, where's Billy?!?" She and the rest of us miss everyone. Thank you for such a great weekend of celebrating and Happy Birthday Mom!

Is there a Doctor in the House?

Or maybe three?!?
This past week we have been seeing lots of doctors with our sick little girls so we decided to all dress the part! Here we have one silly and mischievous doctor on the left,  a very serious and thoughtful doctor on the right, and a handsome jack of all trades ER doctor in the middle. Thank goodness Dr. Jones is on call 24 hours a day for this Mommy or we would all would be in trouble! Especially because I still like to "google" symptoms or read WebMD
I am very happy to report that I am back to work after my food poisoning and Addison and Reese have both finally recovered from their spout with Pneumonia. Reese only got a touch of it because we caught it early, thankfully, and Addison after three trips to the doctors office and once to the ER is now back to being herself. Both girls responded well to their breathing treatments and the medicine definitely helped with the wheezing. We are all finally breathing easier, smiling more, and sleeping through the night! Yieppe......

Mothers Day!

"Traded eyeliner for dark circles,
salon haircuts for ponytails,
bubble baths for short showers,
late nights for early mornings,
designer purses for diaper bags,
lounging at Starbucks for drive-thrus
using the stairs for elevators
late night dinners for early bird specials
trying on new clothes for I hope it fits
and awesome heels for flats."
All so true....as Moms we give up so much.....but we also get so much back in return! I love my girls and wouldn't trade being a Mommy for anything!
Thank you Addison, Reese and of course Kevin for a very special day and for making me smile xoxoxox

Easter!

Happy Easter! Here are some pictures from our weekend (ok so it was last weekend and I am super behind in blogging but here is our fun filled holiday)! The festivities started with a trip to South Coast Plaza. We took the girls to the Easter (mechanical/ very scary) bunny and needless to say Kevin and I HAD to be in the picture because Addison was not about this furry little friend.
But the torture was worth it because she got to ride her favorite carousel with her daddy.
Despite this deer and head lights face.. she really does like it.
Then we enjoyed a little McDonalds. Like Father like Daughter. They dip, sip, and both gave me the stare when I asked to take their picture!
First a little attitude from the hubby...
then a complete stare down from my 2 year old! Yikes... ok you two, I get the picture!!
Our next stop on Saturday was dinner with the Mihelich's and Hatcher's. What a cute family! Cathy made a delicious dinner and Addison and Reese were spoiled with Easter gifts and lots of love!
Not to mention they set up an easter egg hunt for Addison. She loved it!!!
Hands are full with her goodies...
and now it was time to practice her counting! Thank you again Nick and fam for entertaining her and helping her find all the egss! Even the melted ones :)
On Sunday I headed to church with the girls and my Dad. Both Kevin and my mom were working so we took advantage of the extra hands and headed to my parents church. My mom bought them these matching dresses and I tried to get a couple of pictures before our service. Love these pictures...

Not sure why but this picture makes me laugh every time. Reese looks like her body belongs to a five year old and that smile. She has never seen a camera she doesn't like. Then there is Addison who has her death grip on her new Tinkerbell and the do not even think about touching my new doll!
Once in church we needed a little wiggle and potty break in the back
and then after the service Addison got her "hunt"on
She was a little sad that we had to leave!
But things perked up when GranDad came over and gave her and Reese their Easter baskets. The highlight of the basket was a recorder! Thanks Mom and Dad... I may have had to hide it for a few days because she was playing it way to much.
That was a little snapshot of our holiday. We hope you had a great Easter. xoxoxo
