So Sad...Who knew that this big jolly fella could cause so many tears! Addison was scared the moment we headed up to meet Santa in his chair She started crying/screaming and turning red when we placed her on his lap... and didn't stop until well out of Santa's Village. Reese on the other hand was calm and quite content tucked into Santa's arm nice and cozy. Needless to say it was an eventful morning, luckily the tears only lasted a couple of minutes and our happy go lucky Addie was back and ready to ride the nearby carousel. One day we will look back at this picture and laugh... but for now we will stick with gingerbread men, reindeer, and elves rather than our red suited and fluffy bearded friend.

I just want to Dance!
Hmmm... What song is this? Ohh yeah its time to clap!!! and dance of course....
Good Job Addie, keep it up! And might I add you look very cute in those leggings!
We have been in dance class for over a month and a half and its starting to pay off! Addison is picking up more and more each lesson. She can freeze dance. march, kick, and do one mean Princess turn.
I think her favorite thing about class is the mirror, this child has never seen a mirror she didn't like!
During ballet Mrs. Leslie has taught her to sit butterfly style and put her nose to her toes! This is definitely one of her favorites to do!
Next we practice our tick tocks and our stretches!
Here she is checking herself out again while marching to the beat!
Addie you are a great dancer and even though you may run around and not listen all the time to Ms. Leslie, I wouldn't trade this time with you for anything! I have to be honest that I would rather see you shoot, kick, or hit a ball, but if you like twirling and tapping then I will support you doing that too! Looking forward to you shining at your 1st Christmas recital next week! Can't wait :)

Like Mom...Like Dad!
If you ask both of our parents they will tell you that we were thumb suckers! It is embarrassing because Kevin and I both didn't quit until well into grade school. Trust me we tried quitting earlier with band-aids, horrible tasting nail polish, special prizes given to us by our parents, but oddly what worked for both of us was the contraption in our mouth. I remember being so thankful that it wasn't my new years resolution anymore and back then braces were sort of cool so I didn't mind! Well it looks like our youngest is just like Mommy and Daddy :) Happy Sucking baby Reese, its ok... Braces will do wonders in about 10 years :)

Go Aggies!!
Back in November Kevin, the girls, and I had the chance to go see the UC Davis Aggies women's team play #13 ranked UCLA. Although they didn't win we had a great time cheering them on. I was reminded how old I was because all the players that I have played with are now long gone! It was really special to bring both my daughters to the game and have the coaching staff meet them. Sandy and I have always had a great relationship, first as a coach-player and now as friends. He has always been so supportive and cheered me on in whatever I was doing in life.
A couple of seasons ago he even brought the whole team to my school for Dr.Seuss' birthday. We have a huge week in school called "Read Across America" where we invite people in the community to come and read to our classes. When I told Sandy about this he told me the Aggs were in! The team, dressed in red and white hats created by my class, all read in different grades at my school. At the end of our time together we did the traditional Aggie cheer and my class was able to show off on how they learned to run suicides. (Yes I taught my 4th graders how to run lines... and to think they thought it was fun). Here are fun pictures from that day!
To have the whole team out at my school where I taught was so special and I don't know many coaches who would have made the drive out in between shoot arounds to make this happen. That really meant a lot to me and something that I will never forget. Being an Aggie is special. Unless you have experienced the madness of a bike circle, eating at the Silo, or trying to solve that Aggie crossword puzzle you have not lived. Being down in Southern California whenever you see any UCD apparel, license plate, or sticker you always stop and smile, its so corny but its true! Some of my best friends were met up there both on and off the court and of course its where I met Kevin! I can't wait to return to Davis in the new year and hear the marching Band-ahh, see old friends, and celebrate Sandy's retirement. Davis was my home for 5 wonderful years and who knows maybe my family will make our way back up there someday! But one thing is for sure... I can only hope that my girls have a coach like I did! In no way shape or form will this man below ever teach our kids basketball! It won't happen !!
Maybe I will make my coaching debut and bring back the magic!
and teach my girls how to drive...
and shoot!
Only time will tell :) But I am very thankful for the coaches that I have had in my life.

Winter Wonderland!
Last night the girls and I ventured down to Eastlake Village for their annual Winter Wonderland. With Kevin working nights and my parents busy with friends I thought it would be fun to get out of our cozy heated warm house and play in snow for the first time. What was I thinking?!? Luckily everything worked out but I had my doubts! When we arrived after bundling up with hats and sweaters, changing diapers, packing up the Double Bob, and a quick snack, we had to wait in a long line to get in. At the front we were greeted by the Grinch himself and he told us that the event was sold out!! Noooooooo!!! Didn't he understand all the energy it took just to get these two little kids here! Well defeated I turned around and headed to the car. But first I tried to explain to Addison that we couldn't go and that Mommy made a mistake and didn't order tickets a head of time (who knew)!?! This was the view from the sidewalk, so much fun only a few feet away and we couldn't go!
After going for a walk by the lake to look at Christmas tree lights the line had gone done considerably so I tried one more time to see if I could purchase a ticket, I would have paid anything! Then my luck changed and I met a nice woman who had an extra ticket, Yiepeeee we were in! Thank goodness :) Addison and Reese meet snow!
This may not count for Reese's first encounter with snow, she slept most the time!
After playing in the snow for a bit we checked out the other activities. Most were for older kids or would need Addison to go with an adult, but we enjoyed watching! This was the hill for sledding and boy did kids go fast, Addison watched with intent eyes and looked somewhat scared! There was a ponyride and also a petting zoo. Addison said hi to the goats from the outside and petted a bunny threw the fence. The line for the ponyride was super long so maybe next year! We also enjoyed some yummy cookies and hot cocoa, it was delicious!!
We didn't visit Santa because I wasn't sure how Addison would react and I know her Daddy wants to be there! But all and all I am so happy that we were able to experience this Wonderland.
Addie thanks for being such a trooper, you were so brave in the snow and your smile and excitement made it all worth while! Reese you were an angel in the stroller and I know next year you will be ready for all the festivities! And last by not least Mommy learned her lesson and will for sure buy tickets a head of time :)

Addison was amazed at all the people, music, and excitement. Just look at this face it screams "please let us in!"After going for a walk by the lake to look at Christmas tree lights the line had gone done considerably so I tried one more time to see if I could purchase a ticket, I would have paid anything!
