The Big 3-0 !!

Caution - if you read this you may feel older or younger depending on your age!  On February 3, Dr. Jones left his roaring 20's and entered a new decade!
He woke up a little embarrassed with all the business on our front porch. Especially because his boss had to pick him up for a conference at USC. Driving up he thought we still had our Christmas lights on with all the twinkling lights! But nope just a party at the Jones'!!
The celebrating continued with his girls!
Who knew he would have 2 kids....
to celebrate with him...
We had a very special early night! Before dinner we had appetizers and opened presents with the family.
Usually our family tradition is to make the birthday person's favorite dinner dish and a homemade cake. This year I broke from tradition and we bought a ice cream cake (yikes)

and I took my hubby out for a fancy dinner. When I mean fancy, this place had a dress code with no jeans!! So it was pretty exciting, considering we both love our flip flops and nike sweats!!We went to a restaurant called The Cellar in Fullerton to celebrate and it was a fantastic meal just the two us. My parents, Grand-Dad and Omie, stayed home with the kids. We stayed out a full 2 hours and had a wonderful adult conversation. I knew Kevin was enjoying himself when he ordered his second round of drinks and that included a Jack and Coke! hahahah.... Well the final surprise was a family trip for the weekend to San Diego.. more to come with that!
Happy 30th Birthday Kevin - We love you!

Mmmmm mmmm Good! The many faces of a great morning full of Chocolate Chip Pancakes!
Look at those pearly whites!
Did you know Dinosaurs eat pancakes too?
Yep and monkeys too!

Even though Reese can't enjoy the pancakes yet... she was in good spirits!
So until next time... Addison tell Daddy to keep whipping up those great breakfast treats and
 us girls ....
will take care of the rest!!
Mmmm... Good :)

We are in Trouble!

Addison Marie at 22 months woke up cheerfully saying "Mommy, Mommy" and as I scooped her up she was saying and pointing to something. Mmm.. what could it be. Normally her first words are Mommy followed by her other favorite thing, Barney! But this time it sounded more like "ssssssss"As we got closer to her closet I slowly was able to understand what she was saying. No, could it be... "dress"?!? Yep sure was. At 6:00 in the morning she had one thing in mind. Putting on a pink tutu dress. We are definitely in trouble!!!

Working Mama!

If only the girls could come to work with me! It would make things so much easier :) I wouldn't spend every minute thinking and missing them. But for now work starts when Addie goes to sleep and Reese is content in her bumbo! Things take twice as long with baby Reese-ee...but this Mommy's girl rather sleep in my arms then her bassinet! Ohh well - I can't complain I prefer it too!! Night night Reese-ee thanks for keeping me company and sweet dreams Addison! xooxox

Rice Rice Baby!

The big day! For Addie I waited until 6 months to introduce Rice Cereal. Reese, however, has been going through a HUGE growth spurt and eating and eating a ton! So at her four month check up her doctor convinced me to give it a try. And we did and that beauitful smile that we see each day, quickly went away and we were left with this.....
After a quick more "natural" feeding, if you know what I mean, she was back in high spirits and ready to try again. Giggles and smiles aside this monkey enjoyed her second helping of rice cereal a little more than the first. We may wait a little longer to make it part of our day but it was fun to try!

Wind-eeee Walk!

Its no secret that the Jones girls love to walk and love to play at the park. But living in Anaheim Hills has its problems, and one big one is... The HILL part!! Any way we choose to go there is a hill to climb and they aren't small. Well we learned another very important lesson today. On days that the trees look like this....
Don't go for a walk to the park on top of the hill! Luckily I have to super girls who braved the wind and were ready to attack the killer hill with a smile. Personally I think Reese didn't mind the wind and was just very excited to now face the world! How big does she look now?!?
And Addie was in hand holding heaven with her little sister now so close!
When we finally arrived to the park it was business as usual. Addison was on the swings, going on the slides, running on the equipment, and climbing up the ladders for what seemed like hours. Here she is sporting her new "boo boo" on her knee. But not even this small mishap could stop my little ball of energy from enjoying herself.
Reese on the other hand was quite content in the stroller while Addie played and Mommy chased after her. In not to long I will really have my hands full with both of them playing! Yikes!

Although the ride home felt like I was pushing two grown men because I was going against the wind it was all worth it to spend the afternoon at the park with my girls! With an ending like this we know we had a good time! And yes that is Dr. Squeaks cuddled with Reese to remind us of Daddy!
Until next time...

Seeing Double

Thanks to my best friends mom, Cathy, the girls are styling in their matching juicy outfits. If only they made these in adult sizes, you know I would have one too.
Addison can't get enough of holding hands with her sister. It maybe her favorite thing to do with Reese right now. She just needs to be reminded to be gentle (and no biting)...
Love this big smile on Reese's face - its hard to find a picture without this little toothless grin.
However there is always one that reminds me of her serious face, the "Kevin face"
This one is a little more like her Mommy and her being a little sassy, who knew?!?
Just can't get enough of these two!
Seeing Double is not that bad... not bad at all!
