Huntington Beach - Farmer's Market!

One of our favorite memories of living by the beach was the Farmer's Market. Kevin and I would walk down there for the fresh food and live entertainment each Tuesday night. Yesterday it was a beautiful night with a light ocean breeze that we so desperately miss now that we live more inland!
Addison was a fan of sampling all the yummy treats especially the kettle corn!
She enjoyed running around and listening to all the live entertainment before dinner!
We tried to get a lot of her wiggles out before heading to the restaurant
The highlight of the night was for sure meeting up with G and Lisa at Fred's Mexican restaurant. Addison got some major loving from them! We enjoyed catching up and exchanging fun stories. Of course Lisa and I exchanged war stories of teaching and G and Kevin caught up about the latest video games and computer stuff!
Lisa and G always make us laugh. They are so perfect for one another and we love hanging out with them! When the time is right they will make such amazing parents. Not only do we think this couple is the best but so does Addison :)
Besides hanging out with our good friends another highlight of the night was what G calls "Addison's Dancefest" After dinner the live entertainment from the street performers was to much for Addison to handle and she just had to get out of her stroller and dance. G took video of our little star and we hope you enjoy. The musicians are excellent and we have heard them in the past! Although Addison starts out a little slow she definitely gets into it and took center stage. Kev and I saw moves we have never seen before :) I haven't exactly figured out how to add a video but I will ! In the mean time follow this link and you will see our dancing queen. Thanks G and Lisa for a great night! We can't wait to spend more time with you in the near future!  xoxoxo

What's this?

My secrets have been found! Kevin stumbled upon my stash of Christmas presents.  Having a baby so close to the holidays made me very nervous. I had nightmares about shopping with two babies and so I became slightly obsessed with finishing my shopping during the summer J Between the Christmas presents and 7 family birthdays that we celebrate over the next couple of months there is a lot of shopping to do! Although my husband wasn’t prepared for what he saw he was relieved to know that we are ready to go!

Labor Day?

With labor day finally here looks like this little baby will not be making his or her appearance just yet! If you or a friend have ever been pregnant you know that websites often compare your tummy to a fruit each week ! You start as a lima bean then a lime to an apple then an avocado and so on! Well I am at the end of the road and the last fruit is, you guessed it a Watermelon! Lets face it - its a great comparison! Happy Non-Labor Day Everyone :) Hope to share some great news soon!

Kisses for Kayden!

Addison and I met up with Tiff and the family this morning for some fun on the lake! While all the adults were catching up and talking about babies Addison made herself at home. She got very cozy with her best friend Kayden and once we told her to give her kisses she wouldn't stop! She loved on her friend and can't wait for the many more play-dates to come! We love you Kayden!

Swimming with GranDad!

With my Mom and Kevin working this holiday weekend we have spent a lot of time with GranDad! Shopping at Cosco, watching golf, and playing in the backyard are a few of our favorite things to do together! Lately we have spent a lot of time at the toddler pool! Addie is a huge fan of this pool and will often run down the street once we are all ready to go!
Look at those cute chubby legs!
This pool is a toddlers dream! It is just the right height for her to swim, splash, run, and play! It is also a mom's dream come true because she is exhausted afterwards and naps for hours!
My Dad is quite the entertainer at the pool - he follows (chases) her ...
throws her in the air and is right there just in case she takes a little fall! Thank you Dad for all your energy and all the fun you make at the pool!
Like any California girl she has learned early how to lay out! She saw GranDad on the lounger last time we were at the pool and now loves to climb up it and get her tan on!

Thanks Dad for a great afternoon! We look forward to our next pool date!

Opps! I did it again ...

So in March my friend Colleen and I took our kids to Tanaka Farm for a Strawberry tour! We had a wonderful time but l let Addison have one too many strawberries and she broke out in a crazy rash later that day! I later learned that is a normal reaction and that parents should wait to introduce this delicious fruit to their child. Okay got it !!!
Well flash forward five months and that brings us to yesterday. Addison and I were having a wonderful day running errands, shopping, and playing at the park. At about 4:00 I noticed her face was a little red but didn't pay much attention to it because we had just gone for a walk outside and she had been coloring earlier. So I thought she might be red from the sun or got some crayone on her face. But when we returned to the house her face had taken a turn for the worse! Yikes...... Now it doesn't look so bad from the front...
But turn her face to the side.... and well it isn't pretty!
You get the picture! Luckily Dr.Jones walked in just as I am starting to freak out a little and I showed him her rash and he started asking me questions.
Kevin - What did she eat today?
Kim - Nothing out of the ordinary
Kevin - Really no strawberries or something new?
Kim - Nope. We played outside, ran errands, went to the park. Could it be crayons? or from the sun?
Kevin - No looks like a allergy rash, are you sure?
Kim - (light goes off in my brain) ohhhhhh...... We did have a Jamba juice today and I gave I had them give her a cup of her own.
Kevin - And .....What flavor did you get?
KIm - uhhh .......Strawberry Nirvana ... ohhh no !!!!!!!!!!
Kevin - Yeahhhh that is the problem !!
Kim - But she seemed to happy at the time :(

I will not give you any more strawberries until you are ready! Until then I will get you some Baby Benedryl So sorry!! xoxoxox

Loving Lila !

Today was so special because we got to meet our little niece Lila! Proud parents Sam and Heather dropped by on their way down to San Diego for a Dalesandro family celebration. We were so excited to meet her, she is beautiful and perfect just like the pictures that we saw :) It is amazing how natural and loving both Sam and Heather are. They make parenthood look effortless!
As Aunt and Uncle we couldn't wait to get our little hands on her. She has beautifu brown eyes, lots of cute hair, skinny adorable legs, and the most precious lips! I think we could stare at her all day. As Grandma and Papa Jones says, "she is very well natured" and we agree! What a sweetheart!

Holding her made Kevin and I so anxious to meet our little baby. Addison was excited the whole night and it was like she knew she had an audience to perform in-front of! We heard lots of "wows" and screams of excitement while running threw the house without fear. I hope we didn't scare Sam and Heather on what is to come! I have a feeling Lila will be a little more mellow then Addie, just look at her snuggle with her Daddy and smile with her Mommy!

Here is a rare picture of Addison standing still! Rest little one its ok to relax every once in a while :)
We had a great dinner together and of course my Mom and Dad had to stop by to see Miss Lila! GranDad also took this opportunity to bribe Addison by bringing her animal cookies! Luckily she had already ate dinner! My mom also got Addie crayons and paper to practice her love of art! This new gift consumed her most of the night!
One of the things I love about Kevin and have always admired about him is his relationship with his sister. When they are together they crack each other up! They have a very strong bond and I know that Kevin couldn't be happier for his Big Sis and proud of the Mommy that she is.

Addison wanted to get in on the love and had picked out a little gift for Lila that she couldn't wait to give her!
What a night! Lila it was so good to meet you! We look forward to many more play-dates! You are so loved by your Auntie, Uncle, and Big Cuz!
